Sherry's Shepherd Pie

My children, ages 4 and 3, love this recipe!

1 lb. hamburger
1 chopped onion
Salt and pepper
1 can cream-style corn
1 can whole-kernel corn
1 slice of American cheese
2 Tbs. melted butter
Milk
Paprika
8 medium peeled, cubed potatoes. (you can use instant mashed potatoes)

Brown onion and hamburger in a skillet and drain.
Boil potatoes until they are soft to mash.
Place beef mixture in a deep casserole dish, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Pour both cans of corn on top of beef. Spread evenly over the beef.
Mash potatoes with cheese, a little milk (just enough to make the potatoes spreadable) and butter.
Spread mashed potatoes over the corn evenly sprinkle with paprika and melted butter.
Bake in a 350-degree oven until golden brown.
