Aunt Elaine’s Best Peach Cobbler

1 stick of butter melted in a 9 by 12 pan
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk
1 large can of freestone peaches with juice (sliced, about 1 lb., 13 oz.)

Mix everything but the peaches and pour into pan with melted butter. Spoon peaches evenly over mix, then pour the juice over the peaches. Bake in 350 degree oven about 35 minutes or until brown as you like it.
